NIKOLAI EFIMOVICH TIMKOV
Art Brokerage: Russian artist Nikolai Efimovich Timkov (1912 - 1993) was born 12 August 1912 at a settlement of Nakhichevanskaya Dacha close to Rostov-on-Don, Russian Empire. In 1939 Nikolai Timkov graduated from Ilya Repin Institute in Isaak Brodsky workshop. He was a pupil of Mikhail Bernshtein, Arcady Rilov, Alexander Lubimov, Vladimir Serov. He was a Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1943, a master of landscape paining, honored Artist of Russian Federation (1987), had personal exhibitions in Leningrad (1947, 1976), Moscow (1982), Rostov-on-Don (1957), St. Petersburg (1993), San Francisco (1998, 2000, 2001), Aspen (1999), New York (1999, 2001),
Scottsdale (2000), Palm Beach (2000), Vail (2001), Washington (2001). Timkov Nikolai Efimovich died in Saint Petersburg in 1993. Paintings by Nikolai Timkov are in State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, in Art museums and private collections in the Russia, USA, Japan, England, France, and throughout the world.
