B. 1958 - Teimur Amiry was born in Mached, Iran. Amiry learned to paint almost as soon as he learned to walk and talk. His style, developed over years, is in the opulent, sharply defined tradition of Persia's greatest artisans. Amiry left Persia to settle in Italy to experience a new culture and develop himself as an artist. Amiry then moved to England where he was commissioned by Lord Beaverbrook and other prominent British citizens. Ultimately, Amiry made it to the United States. In nearly every painting Amiry has included a likeness of himself. His profile may appear in the reflection of shiny wine glass. Amirys works capture the grace of a fleeting moment, the features of a beautiful woman, and the purity of an exquisite still life.
