Purchased from Fay Gold Gallery in Atlanta, GA.
This 1993, original watercolor is in excellent condition and in the original frame. The original owner met Jerry Garcia at an art show at Fay Gold Gallery in Atlanta where the painting was purchased as a wedding anniversary gift. Garcia handwrote a personalized note on the parchment paper backing the frame. The note is now a separate piece that comes with the purchase. The painting was included with a prominent two page spread in the recent book, Jerry Garcia: The Collected Artwork, edited by April Higashi. It also received the elite inside back cover. The watercolor also appears as the J. Garcia label for the Clos du Bois Winery’s Sonoma County 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon. Seller has a letter from the Jerry Garcia Estate thanking him for allowing them to include the painting in the book, JERRY GARCIA: The Collected Artwork.
