B. 1928 - Mikulas Kravjansky was born in 1928 in Czechoslovakia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Bratislava and later became an Assistant Professor at the University of Bratislava before becoming an Assistant Master in Toronto at Humber College. His designs and paintings have been exhibited in Prague, Budapest and Vienna. He has had shows in Paris and Berlin to Cairo and the Sao Paulo Biennale and exhibitions in New York, Toronto and South America. He has produced over 80 editions of graphics. In combining traditional techniques of etching and collograph and his own new process of dry point on copper over soft surface, his creative methods reflect the richness and variety of his perceptions about our contemporary environment.
