The artist depicts what he believed was a view into the future of New York City due to the Cold War. John Pitre had at that time been painting in Greenwich Village. Being a true visionary and looking northward he painted what almost prophesies..and resembles the remains of the World Trade Center after the attacks of September 11, 2001.
