Anna Chromy's themes, as described under "concepts," are based on mythology, music and dance and her religious beliefs. In the Year of Mozart 2006 the music aspect is of particular importance because Anna Chromy is the only artist who has cast a complete Mozart opera, the "Don Giovanni" in bronze. Anna Chromy has been very active in China for some time, where because of her popularity, she is also known as, Anna Europe. She is highly successful at inspiring the interest of the Chinese public in an important aspect of European spiritual history. Her figuratively, modern sculptures themes are of music and European mythology. Her "Carmen" will be the showpiece of the new opera house in Guangzhou, her "Sisyphus" has a place of honour in the Museum of Modern Art in Guangzhou.
