Art Brokerage is proud to offer work by Indian artist Kariyappa Hanchinamani. He was born in 1976 and studied fine art at Rattihalli. His work includes acrylics on canvas. In his own words, "In India there are various folk artists, so many people are performing many folk dances etc, based on religious principles, so we are marching ahead on this basis. But now, due to modernization and urbanization, our Indian folk artists are becoming extinct. This is due to lack of interest, regarding the continuation and development of folk art among the people. Since folk art is a hereditary occupation, I have been practicing this since childhood days, because I am very much impressed with the art, as I am influenced by these musical instruments. I have developed a unique type, using knife and brush. I capture the designs of artists in their different ways."
