Gabriella Moore (Leela)was born in Gothenborg, Sweden, 1950. Graduated in sociology at University JL of Krakow, before moving to South Africa where she studied drawing and painting with multi-talented Sonia Oppenheim at her Fine Arts Academy until 1980, when she moved to Chicago – becoming an American Citizen in 1983. From 1985-1995 she has the opportunity to meet, paint & create serigraphy with famous artists, a.o. Warhol, Ken Tyler, Mike Phelps, Lichtenstein, Hundertwasser, Brett Whiteley, Ken Done & Bechmann (whom she marries in 1988). 1996 through 2000 she completes a PhD in Psychology of Consciousness (MSc.) and is Founder of the EQ-Academy for Stress-Therapy, Meditation & Yoga. Since 2004 her love of CLASSIC CONTEMPO painting turns full blossom which, like with Warhol & Picasso, are often spiced with “pastiche” – and an undercurrent of humoristic notes. Currently (2008) she works from her atelier in Copenhagen, Denmark.
