RASHAWN GRIFFIN BIOGRAPHY

Art Brokerage: Rashawn Griffin was born in 1980 in Los Angeles, CA and received an MFA in sculpture from Yale University in 2005 and an undergraduate degree in painting. Often negotiating the boundaries between his two studied mediums, Griffin utilizes objects and materials in ways that are conceptually subtle, casual and poetic. His work was included in the 2006 show, Frequency at the Studio Museum in Harlem, curated by Thelma Golden and the 2008 Whitney Biennial.
