Sellers: Please read about our referral: Artist and Clown artist and entertainer Red Skelton was born in Vincennes, Indiana, Red Skelton was the son of a Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus clown named Joe who died in 1913 shortly before the birth of his son. Skelton returned to live performance after his television days ended, in nightclubs and casinos and resorts, as well as performing such venues as Carnegie Hall.
