Provenance: Private collection. Life-size, made using the lost wax process. Right knee to Right elbow: 46" (Right elbow to toe, 59"). Tallest height from bottom of knee to top of highest toe: 24 1/2". Widest width is from left side of head (hair) to Right elbow: 24". "Narcissus", is the most famous sculpture ever created by Victor Salmones. In 1971, over hundreds of entries, this life-size bronze "Narcissus" was honored with first place in the national art competition juried by Harry Greer of the New York's Frick Museum and Charles Nagle of the Smithsonian. Now a landmark of Salmones' adopted city, "Narcissus" surveys the port from a rock in Acapulco Bay. Only 11 ever created.
