Born in 1911 - American Artist Will Barnet: From Beverly, Massachusetts, Will Barnet became a leading 20th-century New York based artist, best known for figurative paintings enhanced by abstract arrangements and printmaking. He was a key figure in the New York movement called Indian Space Painting, artists who based their abstract and semi-abstract work on Native American art. Represented in nearly 200 museum collections throughout the world, many of which own multiple works in different media and different time periods. Will Barnet was a member of the Art Students League and is considered to be one of the master printmakers of the world.
