YURI KUPER BIOGRAPHY

Art Brokerage: Yuri Kuper, born in 1940, has exhibited in the U.S., Japan and Europe, and his works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He is noted for his mystical, melancholic, eerily transcendental still lifes, often constructed with found objects from the painter’s studio. His work is represented in galleries throughout the world, and he has also produced important book projects. He left the USSR for Israel in 1972, and then lived in France, and finally Connecticut.
