B. 1952 - Alan Ainslie has established himself as a wildlife artist adept at capturing the untamed spirit of Africa in his drawings, paintings and sculptures. Born in 1952, Alan grew up on a farm in the arid Eastern Cape region of South Africa. His career as a wildlife artist commenced in 1984, and since then he has participated in numerous local and international wildlife exhibitions. As an artist of international acclaim, his paintings and bronzes are found in private and corporate collections in South Africa, Namibia, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Australia, Norway, Taiwan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Hawaii, United Kingdom, Scotland and the United States. His paintings are also found on numerous stamp series for South Africa, India, Singapore, Namibia, Canada and China.
