Provenance & Extra Info
This drawing came from Andy Warhol's assistant at the time and was said to have been produced as a joke. When asked by James Mellon, Warhol's crush at the time, if he could have a key to Warhol's flat when he needed a place to crash. Andy Warhol rolled and attached to a dozen roses and sent to Mellon on Mellon's request that Warhol stop sending him flowers at work because they were embarrassing him. The drawing was purchased by the present owner 18 years ago.
