American Artist Tim Bavington: B. 1966 - Born in London, England and based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tim Bavington airbrushes vertical bands of acrylic paint onto horizontal canvases. He takes most of his titles from rock music and uses his computer to develop schemes, whereby colors correspond to melodies and instruments. Bavinton just had a major retrospective in Los Angeles.Tim Bavington received his BFA from the Art Centre in Pasadena, CA before making the permanent move to Las Vegas, where he completed his MFA at the University of Nevada, NV. He has exhibited widely across the United States and featured in the Las Vegas Diaspora at LVAM last year which will travel to Laguna Art Museum in March 2008. Bavington's work is included in numerous public collections including MOMA New York, NY and the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, CA.
