Art Brokerage: Arturo Di Modica Italian-American Artist: b. 1941. Arturo Di Modica (born January 26, 1941) is an Italian-American artist, born in Vittoria, Sicily, best known for his sculpture Charging Bull (also known as the Wall Street Bull), which he installed without permission in front of the New York Stock Exchange in December 1989. The work cost US$360,000 of the artist's own money. The piece was on loan to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation who have placed it in nearby Bowling Green park. In 2004, Di Modica announced that the bull sculpture was for sale, on condition the buyer does not move it from its present location. Di Modica installed similar version of the Charging Bull in Shanghai in May 2010 which draws from Western and Chinese culture and looks younger and stronger. I'm specifically looking for "Chase in the Forest" for myself. I am interested in any Dr. Seuss art and would like to present each of 5 kids with a piece of art as they graduate college over the next 10 years. A piece of art I feel is specific to that kid, I've got a few ideas floating around, but am open to any deals. Thanks.
