Cesar Menendez

Art Brokerage: Cesar Menedez El Salvadoran Artist: b. 1954. Cesar Menendez was born March 18, 1954, in the city of Sonsonate Pineda. He was the winner of First Prize in the Student Painting Contest, organized by the Ministry of Education of El Salvador. This distinction is made worthy of a scholarship to the newly opened National Arts Center (CATER), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1976, already established in Fidelia Acosta Marriage to Costa Rican nationals and decided to devote himself full time to his passion for the Arts, in his first solo exhibition held in the Exhibition Hall of the Bank Atlacatl event prepared with great enthusiasm and expectation but eventually only perceives the assistance of his family. In 1990 received a new recognition of his talent with the second prize of the National Painting Contest at the National Exhibition Hall in El Salvador. In 1991 traveled to Florida where his style and artistic quality is recognized, as a result, establishing an alliance with Elite Fine Art in Coral Gables. In 2000 and 2003, continuing his career with exhibitions at the Gallery Picture of Panama and later in 2004 with the Museum of Art Latino-American, Long Beach, where he presents his first retrospective. In 2005 he returned to his hometown and is appointed meritorious Son of the City of Armenia, Sonsonate. 2007 is a year when he returned to Guatemala City with an exhibition at the Gallery Charles Woods.
