    Art Brokerage: Dr. Ray Martens American Artist: Dr. Ray Martens has become known for his montage drawings and paintings. His montage paintings have been commissioned for such groups as the Phoenix Suns honoring their 25th Anniversary, American West Airlines, Valparaiso University on their 125th Anniversary, and the Joe Foss Institute. The montage painting, Desert Storm, which is now part of the collection of the Bush Presidential Library, helped Martens receive a nomination by President Bush as one of his "1000 Points of Light." The montage painting "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty" is a painting honoring the life of General Joe Foss along with other American Patriots who dedicated their lives to service to our country. Dr. Ray Martens has been honored with his work being shown in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum; the Minneapolis Institute of Fine Arts; the Champlin Air Museum; Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana; the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio; the American Cultural Center of Madrid, Spain; the Valley National Bank Center in Phoenix, Arizona; and the Arizona State Capital. Martens' work has been included in the extensive collections of the U.S. Air Force; U.S. Coast Guard; Hawaii Air National Guard; Israeli Air Force; Saudi Arabian Air Force; the Taiwanese Government; Arizona Department of Public Safety; City of Phoenix (Sky Harbor International Airport); Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota; the Bush Presidential Library; and in many private collections. Corporate works completed by Martens include Maidstone, UNOCAL, Days Inn, State Farm Insurance, First Interstate Banking System, California AAA, Colt Industries, Allied Signal, British Aerospace, Phoenix Suns, American West Airlines, and Construction Dynamics Corporation. Martens is a signature member of Oil Painters of America and a former member of the United States Air Force Art Program. He was one of a few select artists chosen to chronicle the history of the United States Air Force. He traveled to air bases throughout the United States and in many remote locations around the world, gaining profound insight and inspiration for his works that are in the United States Air Force Art Collection. Ray Martens has a deep desire to draw and paint the beauty he sees in God's creations. Among his favorite subjects are children, landscapes, and aviation.
