    Additional Info : Erte Began his Formes Picturales sculptures in 1960 while he was on vacation and in the next 5 years he made a total of 20 originals sculptures his first Exhibition for the \"Formes Picturales\" came in 1964 at the Galerie Ror Volmar in Paris then he did two more Exhibitions in Chicago. Erte loved this sculptures more then any think he ever did and wanted to do only that but he this sculptures took to mach of his time and not any one could afford the prices that they where selling for. Erte sold 8 of the 20 sculptures he in his exhibitions and kepet 12 in his own collection in 1980 a good friend of Erte and one of his biggest collector purchased this 6 sculptures by Pual Deniger, Paul Later own sold the pieces to Erte Enterprises, the reaming 6 are in Seven Arts LTD collection. You will also get a full provenance letter from Seven Arts Ltd.

Erte: Father of Art Deco: Romaine de Tirtoff was born Roman Petrovich Tyrtov in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire, to a distinguished family with roots tracing back to 1548. His father, Pyotr Ivanovich Tyrtov, was a Russian Fleet Admiral . In 1910-12 Erte, Romain moved to Paris, France, to pursue a career as a designer. This decision was made over strong objections from his father, who wanted Romaine to continue the family tradition and become a naval officer. Erte assumed his pseudonym to avoid disgracing the family. In 1915 he got his first substantial contract with Harper's Bazaar magazine, and went on to an illustrious career that included designing costumes and stage sets. Erté is perhaps most famous for his elegant fashion designs which capture the art deco period in which he worked. Please do not list scarves for sale. We are seeking more listings of Erte Jewelry.
