Art Brokerage: Gerald Walburg American Artist: b. Berkeley, CA May 5 1936. Gerald Walburg is a retired art teacher from California State University Sacramento. He majored in art at the UC Davis California and went on to be a very well known artist. He started with drawing at a young age then did a lot with clay. Soon after he was working with chrome plated steel and Plexiglas. He really found his artistic style when he started sculpting outdoor pieces out of steel. "Opposing sides" and "Buckle up" are steel sculptures that can be seen outside on the campus at SJSU. In 1977 he won a competition to create a sculpture for the entrance to K Street mall in Sacramento, known as the "Indo Arch". "Stiff Loops " is among one of the sculptures displayed at the San Francisco General Hospital. Gerald also donated a piece he renamed Saki" to the Crocker Art museum in downtown Sacramento on February of 2013. These beautiful sculptures have stacked angles that appear to cheat gravity and stir imagination. Listings wanted.
