    Art Brokerage: Giampaolo Seguso Italian Glass Artist: b. 1942. He was born in 1942, the son of Archimede. He worked with his father for nearly 30 years. In 1993 he began his individual way into research and study in the furnaces of Seguso Viro with his three sons. In 1994 his works, the fruit of his research into the technique called incalmo, are collected in the volume “L’Incalmo” edited by Rosa Barovier Mentasi. n In 1995, together with architect Toni Zuccheri, the objects called “Insieme 95” were born. In 1996, at the Spazio Olivetti Gallery in St. Marks Square, Venice he presented “Vetri con Anima”, works on which, for this first time his poems are engraved. In 1998 he exhibited the pendulums “The Four Seasons” at the Biennale d’Arte in Venice - “Aperto Vetro.” In 2001 he published the volume “La Ragnatela” edited by Rosa Barovier Mentasi which is the fruit of study and research into the Murano filigrana technique utilizing the same methodology used in “L’Incalmo.” In 2011 he was selected by the city of Venice to make the gift for Pope Benedict XVI, in honor of his first papal visit.
