Guillermo Mordillo (born 4 August 1932 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), a famous cartoonist / graphic artist, illustrator and master of short animations, is known simply as MORDILLO. One of the most popular authors of cartoons in the 70’s, Mordillo was illustrating fairy tale books for children such as Three Little Pigs, creating graphics for advertising campaigns, produced animations for cartoons such as Popeye & Little Lulu and designed cards for Hallmark. He is best known for his pictures soaked with lovable humour and vivid colour and without words, he so well depicts the relation between people and the problems of the world. Mordillo is a multi award winner, Best Cartoonist of the Year 1977, Best Humorous Designer 199, Gold Medal International Fair of Humor 1995, Honorary Medal 2010, Pulcinella Award 2014 to name a few. He married his wife, Amparo Camarasa, in 1969 and has two children, Sebastian Jerome (1970) and Cecile Isabelle (1972). Mordillo’s work is loved all over the world.
