Johanna Grawunder

Art Brokerage: Johanna Grawunder American Glass Artist: Born in San Diego, California, Grawunder started her career as an architect at the California Polytechnic University. She has worked with Sottsass Associati since 1985, becoming a partner in 1989. In addition to her architectural design activity with Sottsass, she works extensively on her own in interior and lighting design, collaborating with numerous companies and designers. In 1994 she began a continuous and successful collaboration with Salviati, designing both free blown glass objects and cut crystal items. In 2004 Grawunder again produced a dramatic range of pieces titled ‘Abyss Collection’ as a solo show, which was selected to be shown at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
