    Art Brokerage: Joseph Wesner American Artist: b. 1955-2002. Joseph Wesner was born in Philadelphia in 1955 and lived and worked in Birmingham, Michigan until his death in 2002. He earned a M.F.A. in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1980 and a B.F.A. from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1977. His special collections are at the Center for the Arts, Vero Beach, Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, The Detroit Institute of Arts, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Michigan, Saginaw Art Museum, Michigan. Wesner's recent public commissions include the Walter B. Chrysler Museum, Auburn Hills, Michigan; Honors College, Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan; Meijer Sculpture Garden, Grand Rapids, Michigan; City of Mount Clemens, Michigan.
