Story / Additional InfoFrom the artist: "I set out to do an oil with an arrangement of yellows. Long ago, and with a lot of trial and error, I learned a very good way to highlight a color – that is, to use just about everything except that color! The brush marks are loose and the layers of yellow leaves seem to collect light. The variety of colors in the background keep the painting interesting and heighten the iridescent effect. That foliage pattern suggested a mild wind coming through in a way that changed how the light reflected on the leaves. The title Yellow Wind seemed to hit just the right note."

Ken Elliott - United States
Art Brokerage: Ken Elliott American Artist: Elliott's earliest hands-on experience with art was gained while working for an art restorer in Texas, where he broadened his exposure to a variety of mediums and styles. He also worked as a picture framer and later as an art dealer, both of which helped Ken refine his knowledge and eye for art. In 1987, Elliott moved to San Francisco, where he began to experiment as an artist. He started oil painting and drawing with pastels, focusing on the California and Texas landscapes. After a few years of self-study, Ken attended Masters classes at the Santa Fe Institute of Art, studying under landscape artist Wolf Kahn. He further experimented with monotypes and collages.
