Art Brokerage: Rick Garcia Cuban-American Artist: Rick Garcia's paintings were regularly shown on the hit TV show "Miami Vice". A 3 story building mural was commissioned and later it was used for TV commercials and International magazine fashion shows. In 1990 he was named "ABSOLUT ARTIST of the 90's". Again he was commissioned by ABSOLUT to the "First Station of the Cross, which hung in the Chapel St. Denis in France. Garcia also had a guitar built in the shape of the ABSOLUT bottle, painted his imagery on it, and "ASOLUT ELECTRIC" was born. This new ad also went on to be published worldwide and soon found its way into the Paul McCartney World Tour Book. Gibson Guitars featured a line of Les Paul and SG guitars painted by Rick Garcia and he also painted some for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fund raising events. After Hurricane Andrew in 1992, Garcia was commissioned to create a painting which became a poster to benefit hurricane victim. He was the official artist for the Grammys in 1998, 1999 and 2001. He also designed the official look for MusiCares which is still in use today.He was commissioned by the United Nations Postal Commission to create 2 postage stamp series. One in 1998 was concerning the depletion of the rain forests and in 2003, regarding the Year of Fresh Water”. He was the official artist for the Kentucky Derby in 2008. Listings wanted.
