Born in a California suburb in 1960, Greenblat made the move to New York via Washington, D.C. in 1978. He began exhibiting his work in small galleries in New York's East Village, a breeding ground for the most avant-garde artistic creations of the day. Since then he has become the subject of solo exhibitions, including a museum retrospective which traveled the United States throughout 1987 and 1988.
