Art Brokerage: Sebastian Kruger German artist and illustrator: Sebastian Kruger's goal is to reach inside of his subjects and pull out the very essentials of their character. In the tradition of great caricaturists from Toulouse-Lautrec to Al Hirschfeld, the details that Kruger chooses to exaggerate convey more than a straightforward portrait ever could. Sebastian Kruger has had three popular art books published of his works and has a yearly art calendar from Morpheus. Kruger's art can be seen frequently in Playboy magazine and has also been featured in the likes of Stern, LA Espresso, Penthouse, Der Spiegel and USA Today. He has recently been working on select motion picture projects. Sebastian Kruger was born in Hamlin, Germany in 1963. He studied painting and graphic arts and quickly moved on to make his living as an illustrator and painter. Kruger's works are appreciated and collected by many Hollywood notables, and his painterly twists on Bogart, Schwarzenegger John Wayne, The Rolling Stones, are classics of their kind. There are currently in the neighborhood of 800 original Kruger works; 700 paintings and 100 drawings. They encompass many different styles, with no two alike. Listings wanted by Art Brokerage.
