Story / Additional InfoWhile the subject work is mentioned in Bloch’s catalog, there is not an image or illustration. The work can, however, be found in the catalog of illustrated books with a full descriptive text. The subject work was created for the book, Poèmes et Lithographies in 1954 (no. 69). The original portfolio contained a suite of 14 transfer lithographs, assembled in loose Double Elephant Folios. The lithographs was printed by Mourlot, Paris in 1954, though some of the lithographs were first designed or created in previous years. The drawings were mostly created in 1949 on transfer paper, while the poems were written in 1941. The images and text were later assembled and published by Louise Leiris for their final 1954 release date.
