Provenance / HistoryThe work is one of a new series of works exploring consciousness as fundamentally physical ...and in all matter to a greater or lesser degree and, subject to morphic information field interaction (as described by Rupert Sheldrake, a Cambridge Bio-Chemist). The work uses ideas articulated by the Physicists Menas Kafatos and Robert Nadeau in their co authored book, "The Conscious Universe". The authors discuss the recent discoveries concerning a "non local" universe where particles which have had a relationship continued to influence their existing states even at enormous distances....and seem to no violate the speed of light.....outside space and time.....a remarkable new fact about observation, measurement and connectivity. These new works grow out of the Octopus Meditations completed in 2018 and predicated on the integrated nervous system of the Octopus...nine connected brains, one in the bulb and the other eight at the top of each tentacle.
