Her exploration of oils began in high school fueling her decision to study Fine Art at Guelph University. Ellen's oil painting has evolved into a very distinct and recognizable style. She raised 6 children while living across Canada in isolated areas, which accounts for her unique style. Her vivid oil representations of everyday life often leads to treasured commissioned works.
