Story / Additional InfoOffset lithograph/poster made in 1984 celebrating the opening of a new wing at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis for ArtFest May 20-June 2, 1984. Haring was artist-in-residence at the Walker during March 12-16 when he created a mural for the Walker Art Center. The photograph of Haring holding this poster is the first page of an article in the publication Walker written by Paul Schmeizer and dated March 30, 2012. The article begins: The image was both confounding and comical: a multi-armed creature with a computer for a head. The year was 1984, the site was the Walker Art Center Concourse, the hallway between the museum and the Guthrie Theatre and the artist - then the toast of New York's graffiti and gallery scene - was Keith Haring.
