Tom Seghi - United States
Art Brokerage: Tom Seghi American Artist: b. 1942-2011. Born in Chicago, Seghi received his MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago then taught at Elmhurst College, Washington University in St. Louis, and South Florida Art Center in South Beach. In his early days of full-time painting and part-time teaching on Lincoln Road, his midwestern landscapes took on a totally new palette and he began to pursue a new vision based primarily on the pastel colors and tropical forms of South Florida and its fruits. Seghi has developed a unique, refined range of paintings of fruit forms. Occasionally he has drifted into painting other subjects, such as artists' tools and found objects, but his primary loyalty has been to the subject matter of apples and pears. The irony in this enormous body of work is that they still appear as landscapes but the landscape has a large pear in the middle. Listings wanted.
Looking for a nude, a early picture according to his wife Lynn. It is of a young woman with golden blond hair, sitting on a blue valor quilt holding a black cat with white paws up against her chest. The cats right leg is hanging over her breast exposing a small portion of only one of her breast. There is a pure white cat on the valor quilt looking up at her.
