Art Brokerage: Michael Cutler American Artist: b. 1947-1993. He was born July 1, 1947 in Oakland, CA and was trained as an electronic technician. He turned to sculpture "to express a sense of dynamic balance" and began designing in the early 70's. His works typically involve aluminum or steel kinesthetic mobile pieces that are perfectly balanced and revolve slowly to suggest natural energy flow. He has won awards for his work at Allied Artists of America (NYC), Texas Fine Arts Assoc. (Austin), and Laguna Gloria Art Museum (Austin). His work is owned by many corporations such as G.T.E. Directories Corp (Dallas), Pan American Aluminum Corp. (Miami), American Television & Communications (Denver), and Nabisco Corp. (NYC). He has had shows at The Fireside Gallery (Carmel, CA), Center Gallery (Honolulu), Nan Miller Gallery (Rochester, NY), Perri-Renneth Gallery (Southamptonn NY), Contemporary Gallery (Dallas), and Philadelphia Art Show. I am looking for one of his pieces that is a submarine, made also as a monument at the US Naval Academy, commemorating the 100 years of submarine service. It was completed in 99 and the monument for 1900-2000 America's Submarine Centennial. Thank you for your time!
