    Art Brokerage: Mark Campbell American Artist: Mark H. Campbell was born in Norfolk, Virigina. He earned a Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Painting and Sculpture from the Academy of Art College, in San Francisco, California where for a short time he helped teach classes. After college he set out with his brushes, passion and talent creating and selling his art independently and through prominent galleries throughout the country. In 1996, he was hired to direct the successful Art With Elders program at Laguna Honda Hospital, the country's largest skilled nursing facility located in San Francisco. Started in 199l, Eldergivers and Art With Elders give seniors the opportunity to explore and develop latent artistic talents. Campbell continues as the Chief Administrator, organizing and teaching in this highly respected program. Art With Elders has gained prominence and has held high profile exhibitions at the de Young Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Main Library, the Di Rosa Preserve in Napa and others. Campbell worked closely with architects to help plan the art department for the rebuild of the new five hundred million dollar hospital the new building will open in May 2010. He curated and installed his elder student's work at the grand reopening of the MH De Young Museum in 2005. The opening exhibit displayed work by the Art With the Elders program along with the art of Wayne Thiebaud. It also featured art from the Elder Arts Celebration program that Campbell directed for five years. This part of the exhibit showed the work of elders who were in some way affiliated with the preeminent art schools in the Bay Area. Listings wanted.
