Art Brokerage: Takis Katsoulidis Greek Artist: Takis Katsoulidis was born in Messini. In 1952 – 1958 he studied engraving at the school of Fine Arts of Athens. During the years of 1962 – 1966 he continued his studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, after he was granted a scholarship by the Greek Government. He designed a series of postage stamps for Cyprus and Greece. He has designed a tapestry for the Hellenic Canadian Trust bank, in Canada, and for the Atlantic Bank of New York, and six large silk-screen paintings for the Chicago branch of Ethniki Bank. He has designed many Modern Greek typefaces including "Apollonia" and "Katsoulidis", for use in photocomposition. He has designed and printed six Art Albums with woodcuts and lithographs. His forms are characterized from a neo-figuration way and they are either synthesized and reconstituted with a prototypical narrative way or being presented like reflections through a mirror. The color and the movement are everywhere. Despite the complex visual and conceptual references, the simplicity and the intense geometrical vibe are the dominant elements. Listings wanted.
