Art Brokerage: American artist, sculptor, John Kennedy, is known for his elegant and lyrical sculptures of the human figure. His works elegantly embody this dictum of the early Modernist painter. Beginning with the human body as the point of departure, he distills personal memories, visual observations and deeply felt emotional responses into an elemental shorthand that evokes the fundamental qualities of human relationship. This, for Kennedy, is the "common denominator between us all" and the inspiration that propels his creative activity. He has been awarded many commissions including the sculpture honoring Audrey Hepburn at the United Nations building in New York City. His work is also on public display at the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center in Palm Desert, California and the Kansas Health Foundation in Wichita, Kansas.
