Marianne Vitale

Art Brokerage: Marianne Vitale American Artist: b. 1973. Marianne Vitale, was born 1973 in E. Rockaway, New York. She is a multi-disciplinary artist and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in filmmaking. She began her career making stop-motion animation shorts, later moving into sculpture and performance, and has more recently become known for sculptures which draw on the histories of American art and architecture. Vitale was included in the 2010 Whitney Biennial and has shown her work regularly in New York, the U.K., and throughout Continental Europe. She is the recipient of a 2013 Frieze Projects commission as well as a Performa 13 commission.
